Swiss chard and cheese pie. Serve with salad!




Modification of Judi's spinach pie

Prep Time

30 minutes


  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 bag Swiss chard
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup grated cheese of your choice (cheddar, havarti, muenster)
  • 1 frozen pie crust


Wash and prep swiss chard leaves. Sauté garlic and onion in a little olive oil. Add chopped swiss chard and sauté till just wilted. Let cool. Toss with 1 cup cottage cheese, 1 cup grated cheese, and 1 beaten egg. Add a little salt and pepper. Put mixture into store-bought pie crust (Millstone Market sells great frozen whole wheat pie crusts). Bake at 375 degrees until lightly browned and the middle is not liquid-y (about 45 minutes).
